About Celnor

Founded in 2023 by industry expert Simon Parrington, Celnor is a group of ambitious, entrepreneur-led businesses operating across four specialist divisions: Built Environment, Safety & Compliance, Risk Management, and Analytical Sciences. We bring together dedicated companies that share our commitment to safety, high standards, client satisfaction and sustainable growth. Each company in the Group is supported centrally, while continuing to operate with their own identity intact. With tailored support across HR, IT, legal, finance and strategic development, we give businesses the tools to thrive combined with day-to-day operational autonomy. Crucially, we facilitate collaboration between our members, introducing like-minded companies to share best practice and pursue larger opportunities together, creating strength through connection.

Our founder

With over 30 years in the TICC industry, Simon Parrington turned his expertise and passion into founding Celnor Group. He previously served as the Group CEO at Cawood Scientific, a Group of around 15 laboratories and 700 colleagues, where he led significant acquisitions and modernisation efforts. Before that, he was the Managing Director and majority shareholder of SOYL, a company specialising in precision soil testing and certification. Leading SOYL to become a market leader in its field was a key milestone in his career. At Cawood Scientific, he played a major role in expanding the company’s capabilities and market presence through strategic acquisitions and innovative solutions, preparing him to lead Celnor towards achieving its ambitious goals.

Why is Celnor different?

Celnor’s approach is intentionally different. We offer tailored support through our enablement team across finance, people, IT, legal, marketing, commercial expertise, business growth strategy and development. Businesses stay in control of what makes them successful, while gaining the backing they need to accelerate their success.

As part of the Group, companies collaborate with one another, share knowledge, and unlock larger opportunities together – whether that’s through joint bids, technical mentoring or learning from each other’s approaches. It’s a network with strength, not a hierarchy.
