We are delighted to announce the continued growth of A F Howland Associates (AFHA) with the opening of a new central office in Rutland. A strategic investment that strengthens both the company’s national presence and underpins Celnor’s ongoing commitment to supporting its member companies.
Located at the meeting point of Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, and Cambridgeshire, the new office enhances AFHA’s ability to serve clients across the UK. It complements the company’s head office in Norwich and established sites in London and Sudbury, enabling faster response times, improved collaboration, and enhanced project delivery nationwide.
As a leading provider of geotechnical and geoenvironmental services, AFHA continues to invest in both people and technology to maintain its position at the forefront of the sector.
Karl Blanke, Managing Director at AFHA, said:
“The opening of our Rutland office marks an exciting milestone in A F Howland’s growth. It’s not just about expanding our footprint, it’s about investing in our people and strengthening how we support clients across the UK. By positioning ourselves at the heart of the country, we’re improving collaboration, reducing travel time for projects, and creating new opportunities for our teams to deliver innovative, sustainable engineering solutions that support safe and successful projects across the UK.”
As part of the Celnor Group, AFHA benefits from the strength of a diverse network of specialist companies within the built environment, safety, and compliance sectors. This collaborative network enables knowledge sharing, innovation, and integrated solutions that better support clients and drive growth across the group.
Simon Clennell-Jones, Managing Director – Built Environment at Celnor Group, said:
“AFHA has a long-standing reputation for technical excellence and reliability, and this new office reflects both the company’s momentum and the wider Celnor Group’s commitment to investing in its businesses. The Rutland base enhances Howland’s ability to serve clients efficiently nationwide and ensures its talented teams have the resources and reach needed to deliver outstanding geotechnical and geoenvironmental services.”
